Anita Murray

My name is Anita Murray, and I’m the group’s treasurer.

I work as an S.N.A., healthcare assistant, and afterschool assistant. My daughter Kayleigh is 10 years old and was diagnosed as autistic at the age of 3.

I’m a passionate advocate for Kayleigh and her needs, and I do my best to help others understand the importance of autonomy and nurture in autism. I believe it’s about stepping into their world, not expecting them to conform to ours. I also strongly support child-led play.

As a family, we’re nature lovers. We grow our own organic vegetables, which our chickens enjoy too, and we spend a lot of time in the woods and around animals.

I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead for our amazing group and the future we’re building together as a community.
