Dungarvan Champions

Waterford Festival of Food

Waterford Festival of Food is one of Dungarvan’s best known community events, drawing people from all over to celebrate local food, producers, and culture.

Their team showed genuine enthusiasm for inclusion and were one of the first groups to complete our Autism Friendly training.

They’ve committed to making the festival more accessible and sensory-aware for autistic individuals and families, with plans to improve signage, Offer quiet times, visual guides & fast track system at food stalls

Tournore Court Residents Association

This local residents group has led by example in showing how community spaces can be inclusive.

After completing their training, they’ve taken steps to ensure that future events and shared spaces in their area are welcoming to autistic residents.

Their support reflects the kind of everyday inclusion we want to see grow in neighbourhoods across Dungarvan thoughtful, practical, and community driven.
