Faith Tutty
My name is Faith, and I’m a very proud mum to my 7-year-old son Nate, who is autistic.
I work part-time as a self-employed beauty therapist and have nearly 10 years of experience in the industry. I reduced my hours so I can focus on caring for Nate. We have an amazing autism service dog called Alva, from My Canine Companion.
I’m the founder and chairperson of Autism Support Dungarvan, which began in 2022 shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic and Nate’s diagnosis.
At heart, I’m a people person and love to help others. I’m incredibly proud of how the group has grown. We now support over 126 families, and I’m lucky to be surrounded by a committee of like-minded parents who I consider friends.
We share the ups and downs together and work hard to turn our ideas and goals into something real.I’m passionate about advocating for my son and the wider autism community.
I’m really excited about the launch of Autism Friendly Dungarvan and I’m looking forward to learning more and playing a part in helping the town become more inclusive.
My son is my greatest teacher, and I’m grateful to be on this journey with him. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, singing, art, listening to podcasts, comedy, music, and spending time with family and friends.
