We were so delighted to hear our recent Autism Friendly Meet the Heroes Day event, highlighted on WLR FM yesterday as part of their Youth in Waterford piece.
It was lovely to hear from lots of people in the Dungarvan Community involved in the success of this very special day.
Meet the Heroes Day was all about creating a welcoming, inclusive and autism friendly experience where autistic children and their families could meet some of our local heroes in a relaxed and supportive environment. Local Heroes also took part in Autism Friendly Champion Training.
A huge thank you once again to everyone who helped make the day possible, and to WLR FM & Kieran Foley for including and highlighting the event.
