AUTISTIC TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS – WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 💡 LET'S PLAN 2027 TOGETHER!

At Autism Support Dungarvan, we are exploring ideas for 2027 for:

Autistic Teenagers aged 13–17
Autistic Young Adults aged 18+

We would love to hear from both age groups, their families and our members about the activities, social opportunities and supports they would like to see in Dungarvan.

We know how important it is to have opportunities to connect, make friendships, build confidence, share interests and simply have somewhere to belong.

🏠 A youth club or dedicated teen/young adult hub
🎬 Movie nights
🎨 Creative workshops
🎳 Bowling, outings or group activities
💬 A relaxed drop-in space to hang out, chat and make friends
🎵 Music, hobbies and special interest groups

WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW...

🗓 What evenings or days would suit best?

⏰ Would weekly, fortnightly or monthly gatherings work better?

👥 Would you prefer smaller, quieter groups or larger social gatherings?

🙋 Would any parents, carers or community members be willing to volunteer and help make these ideas happen?

❓️MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHAT DO OUR AUTISTIC TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS ACTUALLY WANT?

We want to listen, learn and create opportunities shaped by the people who will enjoy and benefit from them.

We also recognise that teenagers and young adults may have very different interests and needs, so we are open to exploring separate age-appropriate groups and activities.

Whether it's one small suggestion or a big idea, we would love to hear it!
