Dungarvan Shopping Centre Takes the Next Step Towards Autism Friendly Champion Status

Dungarvan Shopping Centre have officially joined our journey by taking part in Autism Friendly Champion training — playing a central role in building a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

In attendance were representatives from:
– Shopping Centre Management
– Easons
– McCabes Pharmacy
– Heroes
– Pamela Scott
– Starbucks
– Shopping Centre Floor Staff

A huge thanks to Gerry and Claire from Dungarvan Shopping Centre, and to WWETB for generously providing the training space and refreshments. Your support means a lot, and we really appreciate the warm welcome.

🛒 The Shopping Centre is already showing great leadership — with weekly quiet time and Autism Friendly car park spaces already in place. Now, after attending this training, they’ve taken a big step forward in building their awareness, knowledge and understanding to support neurodivergent customers and families even more effectively.

This session was filled with curiosity, collaboration, and great input from everyone. Thanks to all the Autism Friendly Dungarvan committee and volunteers for all the prep work, and for delivering the session in an engaging and practical way.
