The Lions Club have shown a fantastic commitment to making our community a more inclusive, welcoming and understanding place for autistic people and their families.
🏆Their journey to accreditation included:
👩🏫 Completing both in person Autism Friendly Champion Training and online training with their team of dedicated volunteers.
🗺Creating a fantastic Visual Guide, helping autistic people and their families know what to expect, providing predictability and reducing anxiety.
👪Supporting Autism Support Dungarvan at many of our summer events over the years, providing invaluable assistance with safety, security, reassurance and understanding to help families enjoy these events in a safe and supportive environment.
🏥Extending their support even further by inviting our volunteers to participate in First Aid Training, helping us build confidence and valuable skills for our own community events.
