Autism Friendly Town Plan for Dungarvan workshop
We’d like to thank everyone who attended the Autism Friendly Town Plan workshop in Dungarvan. The evening was a valuable opportunity to come together, listen, and share ideas as we work toward making Dungarvan a more inclusive, understanding, and welcoming place for all.
The goal of this plan is to ensure that every member of the community feels seen, supported, and included — especially autistic individuals and their families.
If you couldn’t make it to the session, you can still share your thoughts by completing a short online survey: Survey Link
The survey remains open for 7 days.
A big thank you to Amanda Fox for facilitating the session, and to Buíon Phort Láirge for their ongoing support through the SICAP (Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme).
The workshop was well attended by representatives from:
Waterford City & County Council, Dungarvan Lions Club, Waterford Festival of Food, Waterford Sports Partnership, SETU, Dungarvan Camogie, Special Olympics, Dungarvan Utd, Autism Friendly Services, and many local schools, parents, SNA’s and neurodivergent individuals.
Your voices, suggestions, and lived experiences are helping shape this town plan, and we are so grateful for the support.
Together, we’re building a stronger, kinder Dungarvan.
