We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Ballinroad FC on becoming a Fully Accredited Autism Friendly Champion!🧡

⚽️The club and committee have shown a fantastic commitment to making football and their community events more welcoming and inclusive for autistic children, adults and their families.

As part of their journey, Ballinroad FC:

🧡 Took part in our Autism Friendly Champion Training

📖 Created a comprehensive Social Story ahead of their recent Family Fun Day, helping families know what to expect before attending

⛺ Created a dedicated sensory-friendly breakout space at the event, giving anyone who needed it a quieter place to take a break and regulate

⚽ Ballinroad FC now becomes the second football club on our programme to achieve Autism Friendly Champion accreditation!

It has been a pleasure working with such an enthusiastic and proactive team who genuinely want to make their club as inclusive and welcoming as possible.

We look forward to continuing to work together into the future and seeing these supports grow within the club.
