We are delighted to congratulate Denise on achieving Autism Friendly Champion Accreditation through AsIAm's Autism Friendly Towns Programme, as part of the Autism Friendly Dungarvan initiative! 🎉👏

Denise has demonstrated a wonderful commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and sensory-aware environment for autistic children and their families.

🌟 Her commitment to becoming an Autism Friendly Champion includes:

🧡 Completing our in-person Autism Friendly Champion Training.

🧡 Attending our community Neurodiversity Information Evening, supporting awareness, understanding and inclusion.

🧡 Creating a fantastic Visual Guide to help children and families know what to expect when attending play therapy, reducing uncertainty and supporting predictability.

🧡Providing sensory accommodations, including ear defenders, fidgets and sensory toys, while encouraging freedom of choice within the playroom.

🐾 Welcoming assistance and support dogs into her practice.

☕ We also hope to welcome Denise as a guest speaker at one of our Autism Support Dungarvan coffee mornings in 2027, where she can share her valuable knowledge and expertise with families in our community.
