Supporting More Accessible Public Spaces

Autism Support Dungarvan and Autism Friendly Dungarvan representatives Anita and Faith were pleased to attend the Age Friendly Walkability Audit results and follow-up workshop this week.

The workshop brought together community groups, families with lived experience, and key stakeholders to review the audit carried out last July, and to share insights around barriers, accessibility, and ways to improve public spaces.

It was a valuable opportunity to contribute to important conversations and ensure that accessibility and neurodiversity are considered in future planning and design.

We’re grateful to have been included and to be part of shaping more inclusive and supportive environments for everyone.

Thank you to Age Friendly Ireland and Waterford City and County Council for the opportunity.
