Autism Friendly Dungarvan is proud to bring our community together for a very special event where autistic individuals and their families can meet the heroes who help keep us safe and play a vital role in our community.

🚨Many autistic people only meet emergency services during stressful situations. Our aim is to change that by creating a calm, relaxed and sensory-friendly environment where families can explore emergency vehicles, meet local heroes, ask questions and build familiarity and confidence—before they ever need their help.
🫶This event is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through community collaboration. Local emergency services, healthcare professionals, sporting organisations, volunteers and community groups have come together with one shared goal: Creating a more inclusive community where everyone belongs.

🏆Many of our attendees have already completed their Autism Friendly Champion Training with us with many more registered to complete it ahead of the event.🙌
